I’ve been both drinking beers and overvaluing my own opinions for years, so this show just comes naturally to me. My beergeek cred includes being an avid homebrewer and president of my local homebrew club, and madly searching for any beer with a high rating I can get my hands on. I also like monkeys.
My love of beer has taken me many places and introduced me to some of the best people I know. The time spent on this show has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life, and getting to share it with my closest friends makes it that much more enjoyable. And people say that no good can come from being a drunk… HA!! My disdain of all flavors stemming from hops will continue to be the voice of reason and bring balance to this show full of brainwashed, soul dead, conforming members of the American consumer culture! Cheers!
I’m a wrangler of one tiny human child, supplier of comics and games to the nerd masses, and purveyor of adult entertainment and sexual health education for women. I consider myself a craft beer novice but I’m excited to grow my beer knowledge. I love IPAs, hefeweizens, saisons, and stouts, and my favorite breweries are Schlafly and Stone.
I developed my passion for craft beer during my 7 months living in Heidelberg Germany during college. I traveled around most of western Europe trying the beers in the places I went, mainly because it was cheaper than bottled water. Since then I have continued to learn about craft beer in the United States and the rest of the world. While I am not a home brewer, I am a home drinker.
Mike is the self proclaimed, rather professionally diagnosed, alcoholic member of the panel. Bringing the entertainment to the show in form of witty and politically incorrect humor, his love of hoppy beers and just being tanked definitely makes Mike the most relatable member of the bunch.
